Nighthawk
Now, there has actually been nothing new on the EA site that's C&C3 related in the past two weeks, so I'm going to skip straight to the modding news.
Be sure to check out the updates for our hosted TC mod Only War 2 at their website.
Tiberium Wars Advanced have posted up some new screenshots for their new v1.5 release, which is available for download at ModDB and Thundermods (site in German).
MidEast Crisis 2 have posted some screenshots of updated maps. One, Small Town Israel, has a recognisable building from Red Alert 2 on it. Also included is information on the "Augmented Reality" UI. In their most recent news post, they expand upon some of the gameplay featured in each map. Included are the deadly crows in their Temple Mount map, and the traffic feature in their Highway of Death map. Also, their release date is back to being "TBA", and they apologise for the release in August mention before.
Cold War Conflict: War of the Future has now been redesigned as Operation: Rolling Thunder. Currently, the mod's information just consists of a large weapons list. They are looking for a coder as well.
CnC Fallout have released their first full-length trailer to mark their one-year anniversary. The trailer shows off many of the NATO, USSR and Australian units.
Alternate Warfare is another Cold War-type TC mod. The mod seems very early on in development at the minute, but they've got a few renders available to view, as well as an ingame video.
And that's it for now. Normal news posting activity shall resume as soon as possible, do not fear

Boomerang Python
Yep, it's that time of the month now, news update time.
I've done loads of skinning, so we've got a bunch of things to show you this month, the months to come might be less visually beautiful in the new model department but we'll see what we can manage, we will likely be showing some more civilian props that will be in the map Cal is making right now.
At the moment I'm at hard work making new animations for the Basilisk since the original ones were completely psycho. (you have to agree that's a pretty damn good reason) And they should be done in a couple of days.
That makes the Imperial Guard basically done, in the model/texture department anyway but they still need hulks and craploads of 2D stuff sorted like a command bar and cameos.
Still can't tell you a certain date we'll be releasing our first uber-alpha version, but we're still getting there, slowly but surely.
For now, enjoy these screenshots of the ingame Departmento Munitorum, Hellhound and Grenade Launcher guardsman.
Until next time, Emperor Protects.

Nighthawk
Gasp! Shock! Horror! Burnt toast! What's this? A news post in the middle of the week? I've been a bit delayed with the news posting recently, partly due to things in the real world that need attending to, and partly because I wanted to let last week's poll run for a while and give as many as possible a chance to vote (the poll's still open, by the way. See the previous news post).
Basically, it was a unanimous vote (from the 6 that voted) for EA to develop a KW Mod SDK. While 6 does seem a rather small number, it is somewhere around the current number of forum posters during the summer here.
Anyway, this is a news post, so I suppose some news should be expected. Wading past the never-ending RA3 news on the C&C site, there are some things relevant to us here in the C&C3 community.
EA forums member DaFool321 has churned out a series of 24 maps for Kane's Wrath all recreating various maps present in Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. While I haven't played through them myself, if you're in one of those nostalgic moods, or you just liked the environments in RA2 or YR, be sure to download them from this thread.
Apart from several tournament related things, there's not really much else to post about on the EA front. If you're interested in either the progress of Ladder Season 2, or the EVGA Kane's Wrath tournament announced almost a week ago, head to the EA site.
Now, modding news.
This first one technically isn't part of our usual repertoire as a C&C3 community site, however, I thought it was worth a mention after reading about it. This mod is called Tiberian Wrath, and is actually for C&C Renegade. It's a total conversion mod aiming to turn Renegade into Kane's Wrath. Now, from what I saw on both their site and ModDB, they haven't been public for long. However, the renders on both their site and ModDB show signs of promise. Between this and C&C Reborn (which I'll not discuss here), I may consider reinstalling Renegade again .
Tiberian Apocalypse have posted new screenshots of their Titan and Wolverine units ingame. Look them up either at their site using the link above, or their ModDB profile.
Cold War Conflict: War of the Future are interested in people with skills at modding C&C3 to help them out. Also, if you have any suggestions for the mod, be sure to tell them.
Sigma Invasion have posted some new renders of units and structures.
Now, I can't actually remember altogether too clearly if I made a post on this mod before. This must be the first ever case of senility in a young person, but anyway . Tiberian Dawn, a TC mod from C&C3 to, well, Tiberian Dawn, have posted up some new renders of the Weapons Factory, Silos and the MCV. If you're into any kind of TD total conversion, you should keep an eye on this mod.
MidEast Crisis 2 have set their release target for this month, August. Aside from that, there are some new screenshots, including the Blackhawk helicopter, and updated unit lists for the Guardians of Islam and the Israel Defense Forces.
CnC Fallout have posted up some new screens as well (this seems to be the season for mod screenshots ).
And that'll do for this week. I think that's about as much news as any normal person could take. And I think that's about as much strain as my fingers can take typing it all... or maybe that was because of the massive essay I had to type before this, oh well .
Until next time.

» Kane's Wrath Mod SDK Poll
Nighthawk
I've decided to go with something different than the usual weekly news post today.
As you may know, Banshee has started a campaign to try to persuade EA to finally produce a Mod SDK for Kane's Wrath. You may have read about at Project Perfect Mod, or indeed at the campaign topic on the EA forums.
The purpose of this poll is to try to get the views of the community here. To vote, you need to be registered at Revora Forums. Go to the topic itself, and the poll should be at the top of the screen. If you want EA to develop a mod SDK for Kane's Wrath, select the first option. If you would rather EA didn't develop a mod SDK, then select the second one.
Your views do count, so please, if you can vote, vote.

» End of July Update
Nighthawk
Right, let's see what's been going on in the past fortnight.
EA have posted up their Replay of the Week for Kane's Wrath. This week's replay is a match between the Ladder Season 1 Champion - relativiT and ToObeyIsLife. You can download the replay here.
Mastermind has started up a weekly news post on the C&C3 site, entitled 'Mastermind's Monday Madness'. This week, he's reviewed a rather different map for Kane's Wrath, entitled 'HERO', as well as information on the Renegade-X TC mod, and a trailer for Asylum. You can check out this post here.
In 2poc's Community Coverage, he covers how to use vehicles in C&C3 to crush, well, an enemy army. There's a Replay Guide by C&C3 player Khufu. A map zooming mod, cleverly titled "C&C ZoomMapMod" has been released in order to let you zoom out really far and view more of the battlefield. Read all about it here.
For the competitive multiplayer members among us, Ladder Season 2 is now online. As always, there are some great prizes up for grabs. First place in the 1v1 tournament gets $6000 sponsored by EA and HP. Along with that comes a bunch of Logitech merchandise. 2nd, 3rd and 4th place will also win around $2500 worth of prizes. The three qualifying rounds run from July 11th to August 11th; August 11th to September 11th; and September 11th to October 11th, if you want to get yourself in with a chance to win those prizes. More information on how the ladder system will work can be found here.
And lastly, an E3 special of Battlecast Primetime is now online. While most of it focuses on Red Alert 3, there's still the usual C&C3 matches in there somewhere. You can view it on either the C&C3 site or download it in HD from this article.
That's it for this week. I'll have modding news back again next week.

» Kane's Wrath Patch 1.01
Yes, yes, I know, I hear your screams saying that I'm a day early with the news, but this is slightly more important.
Kane's Wrath Patch 1.01 has finally been released. For those who grabbed the leaked one earlier in the week, they're the same EXE, so you're fine if you installed the earlier one.
The changelist stands as follows:
Firstly, the serious fixes - the Desync Errors:
QUOTE (patch_EN.txt) - Fixed a desync that occurs when a Nod ally attempts to create a Decoy army of a Mechapede.
- Fixed a desync that occurs when playing against a brutal AI with 2 players on level Unfair Advantage.
- Fixed a desync that occurs when playing with 2 players against a Brutal Black Hand AI on the map Unfair Advantage.
- Fixed a desync when 2 players use Black Hand vs GDI on the map Tournament Arena.
- Fixed a desync that occurs when engaging Firehawks with Seekers
- Fixed a desync when Venoms attack a Plasma Missile Battery that is detecting an invisible unit
Next, fixes for bugs and exploits in the unpatched game: QUOTE (patch_EN.txt) - The Message of the Day will now show up online for Kane's Wrath.
- In-game rank/stats now show up alongside player name while in the game lobby.
- Improved Automatch performance
- Reaper 17

Alright so it's been a "couple" of days and well the space marine i wanted to show you still isn't ingame nor has the basilisk crew been fixed yet this is mainly due to an unfortunate turn of events leading to the purchase of Super Smash Bros. Brawl (best game ever btw.)
Needless to say work has been somewhat stalled because of it.. it should pick up some speed in a few weeks tho.. (hopefully.. i repeat.. awesome game ) So yeah we didn't manage to put it ingame yet but that doesn't mean we can't show a render to you.
Also i mentioned I'd post some more Basilisk pictures and for what its worth here they are (again without animated bits mind you). And as a bonus I decided to slap in a render of some of our Civil models aswell.
Shouldn't be too long before the next update.. but until next time, enjoy these screens and.. Emperor Protects.

Boomerang Python
Yes, yes we're still alive..
It's been like 2 months since we posted anything, but work has been done in the dark but it has been slow work, really slow, considering we have only one texture artist on the team right now and loads of models that are just waiting for a paint job, that's why I'd like to see any people interested in helping out email or pm me (you can find my email on moddb or on our forums)
Anyways, I did mention that work has been going on in the dark didn't I?
Well what's been done is we've gotten the Basilisk ingame albeit without any of it's fancy animations we've made (two guardsmen crewing it, doing crew stuff), ran into a snag when we tried to export it so we had to remove the crew for now until we can purge the filth that is keeping us from doing the Emperor proud.
We also decided to throw in a screenshot of the new improved normal map on the chimera treads.
Also we should have some space marine related news along with some more shots of the basilisk coming up in a couple of days..
So until then, enjoy these screenshots, Emperor Protects.
